I bought one of these from Amazon on the basis of many positive reviews (including amazon customer reviews) some of which mentioned the "3d colour management system" which allows detailed colour calibration if you have the right tools (which I do).
However, the version I received did not have this feature and although it is an excellent TV in many respects, the fact that Samsung have obviously changed the featureset since the model has been reviewed but kept the same name is frankly disgraceful.
I actually really like Samsung products as the design and value can be excellent in many cases, but messing about with the details of specifications, and landing customers with products that have the same name but different abilities, is a truly incomprehensible marketing strategy.
Because of this I have no idea if the TV at the top of this page is actually the one I am talking about, and sadly, neither do you.

Bought this as a wedding present for my son and apart from the fact that his fiancee seems to think its a little on the large size (I think she was expecting something slightly more discrete) they seem pleased with it. They had a Samsung before and it worked well hence the decision to go with a similar one this time. Delivery was up to the usual Amazon standard and everything worked out of the box, so it looks like its so far so good.

Ordered this a few weeks ago after searching the net for some bargains. Great value for a 40" full HD. Maybe not up to the Panasonic standard, but a fraction of the price. Sound isn't as flakey as expected either for an LCD. Would still opt for a decent surround system to support it though if you're into movies in a big way or stream music through your telly. Loads of connectivity round the back and a bit on the side for those who want to wall mount.
Haven't tried blu-ray yet, because, well frankly I think it's a bit of a waste of money at the mo, but HD TV looks awesome. Tracks movement quite well and colours are very sharp once you've suited the picture to it's environment (worth playing about with the settings until you're happy - makes a world of difference.

Hi there, this is a great little set for the money, although you might want to change the picture setting to meet your own desired tastes. There are four choices of setting and these are either to bright or washed out. The picture settings need to be set up for each input and the settings aren't saved for all the inputs which is a bit annoying. Watching sky plus through the rf input is poor and side mount av using red, yellow and white is marginally better. I do not know what the picture is like with a scart as i have not tried that yet. The picture is clear enough on standard definition, but not pin sharp. However paired up with a samsung blu ray, this is sensational. The picture is magnificent. I think that this set excels on hd material, but on standard it is average.
The sound is thin with no depth, but is very clear. The downward firing speakers probably are to blame.
A good all rounder, but a bit too soft a picture in standard definition.
