Product Description You can watch Freeview TV in the palm of your hand with this 3.5 inch pocket and mobile digital TV and multimedia player (105x75x18 mm and 150g) on its crystal clear TFT screen. You can also play videos, listen to music and view digital photos via the built-in card reader and USB interface.
August DTV350C receives TV signals at up to 70 miles/hour, can be used as a Freeview box to output TV to a larger screen and as a bedside digital radio and digital photo viewer.
It comes with the following accessories: an AC power adaptor/charger, a USB cable for connecting the player to external discs, an aerial adaptor for connecting the TV to a high gain antenna, an AV cable for outputting TV/video to an external screen and a pair earphones.
The built-in battery will work for up to 3 hours while watching TV or playing video and up to 10 hours while listening music. The battery can be charged by the supplied AC adaptor or from a USB port of your computer (cable not supplied). Charging from the AC adaptor will be much faster than from a computer USB port.
August portable TVs have been reviewed by and won a number of awards from various leading magazines including What HiFi, Which ?, Active Home and etc, plus voted a Top 3 Small Screen TV by Channel 4.
Please note the built-in telescopic and/or the included portable antennas may only work in areas where Freeview signal is strong. There may be difficulties in receiving signal with the telescopic and/or portable antenna in some regions at present. This is due to that the Freeview service (see freeview.co.uk website) is yet to operate in fully in the UK. A high gain antenna with signal amplifier may help the TV to receive Freeview in regions where signal is not strong and a rooftop aerial may be required in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna before the Digital Switchover in your region. The reception will improve along with the progress of the Switchover.

amazing July 26, 2010 M. Donovan (london) could not believe as small as this television is what a chrystal clear picture
you have, the added ariel which has a magnetic base is brilliant for outdoor use,
easy to use controls plus an easy setup guide, all in all a delight.
august 3.5" handheld tv May 2, 2010 Mr. Ian Oakes this so called hand held tv does not recieve tv programmes unless it is plugged in to a normal aerial.
when i rang their customer support ,they told me portable means easy to carry, not easy to view programmes anywhere.
so i asked if i cant recieve a signal, what is the point of me buying this item.the reply was,you can plug this item in to any aerial socket when on your travels and watch tv.I then replied if that is the case there would already be a tv there ,or do they leave aeriel sockets hanging around just for your tv's
i have also tried to play dvd's with the sd card ,the result being that some will play the video without sound and some play sound and no video
anyway i am not impressed with this item
Brilliant tv March 28, 2010 Mrs. Norah Wilkinson (Bolton, Lancs) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this tv for my husband to use when he's sitting in the car, whilst I'm attending my frequent and various health appointments and I can thoroughly recommend it.
The screen is a decent size and the picture is excellent. Some reviewers mention the tinny sound quality, but you can't compare it with your 40in tv. The sound is good for the overall size of the product. One important tip I would just like to mention; the first line of the quick setup guide(not the main part of the manual) tells you to use a rooftop aerial during the first time installation. I didn't read the guide properly and emailed August to say I couldn't get Freeview channels, only BBC channels, even though we are in the Granada area, which has been switched over to digital. They replied within a few hours and told me to use a rooftop aerial. All the Freeview channels were downloaded the first time I tried after following this advice.
Tiny wonder March 16, 2010 David B (England) This little tv is a wonder. I thought it would be difficult to watch an hours programme on such a small screen, then we had a power cut and half way through a three parter. So rather than watch it on the computer later, we watched on this little wonder. The pull up ariel works well, and it does have connectors to use other indoor and outdoor ariels. Well done August a sure winner.
Anyone thinking they have a use for a small, portable tv, buy it, you will not regret it.
Wrong parts!!! March 8, 2010 Mr. J. Long (UK) Bought by my father to take for a stay in hospital due to the hugh fees the NHS charge for using their TVs! Arrives, looks great, ideal. Set it up and the aerials sockets are too small for the tv! Useless! Sent back, pathetic!
