Great value April 17, 2010 WRL (The Barn) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Been using this for about a month with absolutely no complaints. Brilliant picture and a really simple set up. In tandem with a sony blu ray (360) it performs really well. Sound is as good as you could expect from a television audio system and quite honestly if you are picky about it then put it through an amp or surround. The settings are numerous so something should be suitable. At the moment I think you can pick one up for around the five hundred mark with a three year warranty included in the price, that's standard not a special offer. Sony quality and three years cover probably makes this one of the best bargains out there. The tv may have future updates on the software which is through a LAN to your router, dead simple if you want to pursue it and if you have a set up where you can leave the cable in then there is access to various "live" widgets ie) rss feeds, world time, online photo gallery etc. For this price it is unbeatable.
Good for the money December 30, 2009 A. P. P. Murphy (Midlands, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my third Sony HD flat screen and is the highest spec'd of the three. It's a doddle to set up with a host of connectivity options. Custom display settings allow you to tailor the picture to your own taste as reception standards can differ in various parts of the country.
Now for the best bit...........1080 High Def! Connected to even average BD players, such as my Sony BDP350, produces great pictures and sound. Super sharp, clarity and depth in abundance. Add to that a mid budget Theatre system, such as my Sony BDV E300/KS360, and off you go! A great small theatre system! Get the popcorn out boys!!
sony 37 v December 19, 2009 David Ferris 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Searched for a long time, reading reviews trying to understand spec, watching prices etc. This is a great tv,picture is good, sound is good and its a good size for an average living room.I thought about 100hz tvs but i dont think i needed to spend another £100.The bravia v series in my opinion has a fantastic picture.

The picture quality is good but as yet we have to find a way of the picture fitting the screen. We have altered the settings but still the picture doesn't fit the screen - it's still too big - the edges are missing - top and sides. A bit disappointing as it was perfect on our smaller Samsung tv.
Sadly not all you expect. October 26, 2009 Mr. Michael Marshall (UK) 29 out of 33 found this review helpful
First of all let me say that the actual tv itself is the usual excellent sony product with great picture and sound, a perfect size for me at 37", and the menu system works well when you get used to it.
Now the sad bit. This machine is marketed as being ultra connectable with the internet and with the DLNA standard supposedly making it interconnectable with a home theatre setup. As far as the internet goes you cannot even connect without connecting by lan from your computer to get the EPG if you have a service such as virgin or sky. When you do connect you find it was hardly worth the bother as all you get are stuff like calender and time, whats the point? I have virgin cable and whilst the initial setup works fine through the AV port you must use the service dedicated remote to control. As far as DLNA you must have all Sony peripherals such as dvd recorder and blue ray. Note - when you are setting up be sure to set the tv to the AV port that you have plugged into your virgin or sky box.
If you have a freeview ariel and connect by coax you can recieve the free view chanels and connect to the internet where you can download the electronic programme guide and some widgets (pretty dissappointing) In reality you wont want to bother with this as all the programmes worth having and more are available through you virgin or sky service
Again the usb port seems only to recognise a few devices and so far for me they are only sony.
To sum up it is a great tv but its major selling points over the cheaper "s" model are simply useless if you subscribe to a cable or dish supplier. I am not sure if the "V" series has any picture enhancements over the "S" series.
