I bought this TV as a replacement for my 26" Samsung LCD TV. Whilst my Samsung has served me well for the past 2 years it was only "HD ready" and I felt like I was missing out on the "full HD" experience. Hence the time to buy a new TV!
The first no brainer was to go for a Samsung again. I have tried several LED TV's over the years (Phillips, Sony, Panasonic) and none came close to the picture quality of the Samsung. When I heard about Samsung's LED range I decided to give this model a go.
First impressions? Well as soon as I had the TV out of the box and turned on, I was amazed how good the picture quality was. It paled my old Samsung in comparison and that is saying something as that had a brilliant picture as well. The picture is definately more vibrant, has more depth to it and the contrast ratio spec on this machine must be sky high! If this is the shape of LED technology to come, then the LCD days must surely be numbered! The black levels are also satisfyingly deep. In particular I found that watching The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray through my PS3 was a completely different experience to watching it on my 26". Previously the black levels tended to almost matt together so you could not tell what was going on in dark scenes. However this is completely different - crystal clear precision performance! PS3 games also play well. Playing Fifa 10 brought a clear vibrant picture and no lagging at all that you hear about with other TV's.
Watching Sky SD programmes was a big improvement over my 26" and the football on Sky HD is just crystal clear again. The set also has 100Hz motion plus technology which eliminates some of that "drag" effect you get when watching fast actioned programmes. It's not completely elimated but it is a step in the right direction. The set also comes with 4 HDMI connections which should be plently for most of us. There is also a USB connection for those who like to use their TV for picture and music collections and a range of options to connect the usual scart, RGB cables etc.
Now there are some downsides - but they are minor in my opinion. Firstly the speakers are pretty tinny so if you are like me you would have already invested in a 5.1 surround system. Secondly the TV has a very annoying feature called "auto-dimming". What this is, is when you are watching a dark scene, the back light will automatically dim to keep your blacks as deep as possible. This sounds like a good idea BUT NO!!! As it is the back light that is being "dimmed" it also dims everything else on the screen including the lighter parts so the picture almost dims to a complete black-out! Once you notice this you get very frustrated and feel like chucking something at your new TV! However there is a temporary fix until Samsung sort this out. You can go into the "service menu" (you can find out how to do this via the internet) and turn off the dimming BUT you also need to turn off the dynamic contrast in the normal menu as well to get it all to work. This will initially give you quite a flat picture but by messing around with the contrast/plasma settings you can get a perfectly acceptable picture and no annoying "auto-dimming".
So in summing up I would recommend this TV. My only real gripe was the "auto-dimming" feature but there are ways around this and Samsung should hopefully have a fix for this soon anyway (you can download upgrades from the Samsung website via the USB port). Another great Samsung TV!

Weve just bought this tv and after a week of having it mounted on our wall its fantastic picture definition is clear the colours are amazing and the sound is great. Its so easy to set up as well the freeview is a great addition but weve also got Virgin plus running into it as well as a Playstation 3 through the HDMI ports, both have stunning quality and sound and make for fantastic viewing and gaming experiences. Couple that with a home cinema system and youve got a fantastic package.

Very good price and superfast delivery.
TV works very well although has the usual problem flat screens have with face tones (old tube tvs do this better) and quality of sound due to small speakers and limited space. Very easy set up. Super light and thin.
Overall very pleased. An impressive set.

BEST TV I HAVE EVER OWNED. PICTURE QUALITY IS UNBELIEVABLE IN HD, BUT FREEVIEW IS SUPERB AS WELL. SOUND QUALITY IS NOT TOP OF THE TREE, BUT THEN AGAIN NOTHING IS QUITE PERFECT SO I AM STILL GIVING THIS TV 5 STARS, IN FACT THIS WAS FOR THE BEDROOM AND I AM GOING TO GET A BIGGER ONE FOR THE LIVING ROOM.

Awesome telly! Picture is great, sound (which everyone seems to slate) really isn't too bad - we don't notice (and considering how thin this telly is, it is impressive)! And anyone serious will be able to plug this into an external amp & speakers. Works great with my MacBook Pro using a VGA connector (there is a direct VGA input on the back), and the image and DVDs look great. Also plugged in my now aging PC running XP, which looked great once I had updated the display settings. Watched a BBC HD program using the MacBook, and I think the only thing that let it down was the VGA lead as the picture wasn't quite HD some of the time (I don't think it could carry the image quick enough - looking forward to getting the HDMI cable sorted!). The digital TV tuner works very well. The default set up is to have channels 1 to 5 as analogue, and thereafter Freeview. Although I'm not sure why anyone would watch the analogue when the Freeview is such good quality. Watched a DVD through my PS2 (yep, we're kind of behind the times!) using the component input (for which there is a special adaptor channeling all the components through a special 3.5 mm jack) and it was fine, although the PS2 looks soo grainy and dated compared to the MacBook Pro. You may have read in some places that there is some ghosting on sharp black lines on a light background (I think someone mentioned early Family Guy in particular), we noticed this on the title sequence to Arrested Development, but I can't believe it isn't just a feature of the telly trying to "scale up" old DVDs to HD. Another downside is that there is no headphone out! There is an optical out, but this requires you to have a pretty swanky external amp etc. No good for our Bose Sounddock 2! This was nearly a deal-breaker, until we realised that all our DVD watching etc is done through bits of kit which have their own headphone out, so there was no real issue with this in the end. And you don't exactly need great big booming sound when watching Eastenders!
We are very very happy with this telly, it looks so far ahead of anything else out there at the moment. The TV looks like a very expensive bit of kit (which it is) with its lovely glass surround and glass stand. A very nice bit of kit, and you won't be disappointed.
I'm so impressed that I wish to buy a smaller version (maybe without the LED) to use as an external display for my MacBook.
And one last thing - has anyone seen a Nokia charger lying around? I have lost mine. Bah.
