5 out of 5 stars Peter.C.   July 10, 2009

Picture and sound are first class.
I bought this television as a "Which" best buy, as there
are so many to choose from, thus, avoiding buying one
with poor sound or picture quality etc.
It's widescreen 1080p full HD., and it sells at a good price.

5 out of 5 stars 32" Flat Screen Television.   May 21, 2009

I never buy anything of value without first checking "Which" reports to see 'best buy options' Having read all the test reports I decided that the Panasonic TX32LZD suited all the criteria of picture quality and size that we wanted. I ordered it through Amazon which gave the best price and it was delivered as promised and I was able to track the delivery by City Link. I have not been disappointed. The picture quality without HD is exceptionally good and the sound quality very acceptable. With HD the picture quality is fantastic especially watching sport and nature programmes. I would recommend that the Panasonic Range of Flat Screen TV's should be considered, they may be a bit more expensive, but very well worth it.

ordered tv and initially very very pleased with it. however now a few weeks have passed and when set turned on the digital freeview DVB has erratic signal quality until warmed up, and then all ok once it has locked on to the signal.this happens whether on standby or main switch off. very odd. have had tv engineer out to check aerial and retune TV, etc and all ok so can only assume set has fault.signal strength good (10) but signal quality poor (red/yellow ) until warm then green=100%. awful shame as fantastic otherwise. ahope panasonic can fix or replace it as just outside amazon 30 day return!also i had so much confidence in panasonic that i have not kept all the packaging to box it up again should it be returned to them! please see my update below!!

3 out of 5 stars Good, except for the black   May 8, 2009

Having owned this TV now for a week I am generally quite impressed with it. Motion handling and colour is excellent, even from lower quality SD sources. It tends to a little softness on some sources but makes up for it with minimum noise. It's very easy to set up and control and the picture quality on BBC HD's endless bright and colourful wildlife programmes is nothing short of fantastic.

One area though lets it down badly, namely the handling of black levels. The darkest I can get the black is a fairly dark grey and the level of detail within that dark grey is not very good. This is evident irrespective of whether the source material is Freesat SD, HD or DVD via component. This means that dark films and programmes (think 'Sin City' or 'Little Dorrit' on BBC HD) lack a lot of depth and detail.

If you are primarily buying a set for sport or wildlife programming then this is a fantastic set. If your taste runs to darker sci-fi or film noir then I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

5 out of 5 stars First HD TV   April 28, 2009

This was our first HD TV to replace very old equipment which had worked well for more than 20 years. TV was easy to set up and worked very well. I had studied the market quite carfully and this fully met my expectations.
