Amazon.com Product Description
A great way to get into high-definition entertainment, the affordable 26-inch LG 26LD350 LCD HDTV offers a 720p HD resolution, multiple AV Modes to optimize the picture depending on what you're watching (Cinema, Sports, or Games), and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio for excellent rendering of colors and deep blacks. Other features include a 5ms (millisecond) response time, stereo speakers with 14 watts of power and Dolby Digital decoding, and three HDMI inputs.

Key Features

50,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
No more worrying about dark scenes or dull colors. The dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 delivers more stunning colors and deeper blacks than you can imagine.

Picture Wizard

AV Mode
Sports, movies and video games are best enjoyed with customized settings. With AV Mode, you can easily select from one of three picture modes for "Cinema", Sports" or "Games" to enjoy an optimized picture and sound experience.
24P Real Cinema

Clear Voice II
Get audio the way it was meant to be heard. Clear Voice II enhances and amplifies the frequency range of the human voice to help keep dialogue audible when background noise swells.

Infinite Sound

Dolby Digital
Dolby Digital lets you experience compelling 5.1-channel surround sound. And you can trust that you'll get the same great Dolby Digital audio quality no matter what you're watching--a DVD or Blu-Ray Disc, TV programming or downloaded content. Best of all, you can be confident that you'll hear the audio exactly as it was intended, because Dolby Digital is also used to create the soundtracks for movies and games.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Product Description
Thinking about adding HD to a smaller room like a bedroom or home office? Look no further than the 26LD350 from LG. Combining a 26" LCD and high definition 1366 x 768p (720p) resolution, this HDTV is ideal for catching HD programming outside the home theater. A widescreen aspect ratio allows for a cinematic feel, and a wide viewing angle ensures that everyone in the room has a clear view. While 24p True Cinema technology ensures seamless compatibility with film-based content, an XD Engine serves up optimal panel brightness and enhanced color. Look to two HDMI inputs for advanced, single-cable HD connectivity, and to a USB port for access to JPEG photos on a thumbdrive or digital camera.

Nice unit but paid too much for it's size . Had a size constraint due to location. Amazon delivered what I ordered though. Great service but to expensive for 26" TV.

This is a great tv. we use it in our master bedroom. Has all the features I wanted. We have dropped cable tv except for basic cable. I use my computer to connect the tv to my netflix account. I watch movies and netfilx content when I want and the reception is great. It is so easy to connect and the color and clarity are great.

5 out of 5 stars Great HDTV!   July 3, 2010

After returning 3 HDTVs (Samsung, Sharp and Sanyo) I'm sooooo happy with this one. A perfect picture and great sound. I barely have to raise the sound to hear it, which is a problem with many other HDTVs. There's no distortion of the images and the color is perfect. I was almost going to buy a 22-inch model, but it looked small in the store, so I went for the 26-inch and I'm glad I did. A good size if you're about 10' away from the set. The on-screen menu is a little difficult to figure out ... but once you get the hang of it ... it's ok. A definate buy at a very good price. Also, it's always good dealing with Amazon - trustworthy, efficient, competitive pricing and good quality products.

1 out of 5 stars LG = Poor Quality   July 1, 2010
Roger Dixon (Crystalaire, CA)

I purchased two LG televisions. Within a month one had to be shipped to LG for service for vibrating speakers. Not long after, the 52 inch had to be serviced due to poor picture and over heating. Then the smaller one needed a new remote sensor. Soon after the remote sensor in the 52" went out and was fixed. Now both remote sensors have gone out again and even with an extended warranty purchased through LG, they will not cover any more repairs because the cost of repairing exceeds the TV value, but they won't replace the TV either. I wrote to the CEO of LG USA nearly a month ago. Still no reply. I would guess LG has a bunch of bad remote sensors out there. I am now filing a complaint with my state consumer affairs department.
